Our Values

Assyrian Studies Association's mission to promote the academic study of Assyrian heritage through supporting research, teaching, and intellectual collaboration among scholars remains the guiding principle of our organization. Through our Preserving Assyria program and its three initiatives, ASA seeks to fulfill its mission by supporting efforts that promote a just, equitable and positive depiction of Assyrians.

We believe our work through Preserving Assyria will lead toward systemic change that improves the lives of people, strengthens communities and fosters connections between academic institutions and scholars throughout North America and the world.
