Assyrian Studies Association Committees

ASA established five committees as an essential part of our nonprofit structure. Involving the Board of Directors and the Executive Director, these committees utilize talent to increase overall efficiency. These committees provide opportunities for ASA to foster and develop talent to allow the Association to grow.

Programming Committee

Oversees programmatic development and implementation; coordinates with Executive Director and Board of Directors on programmatic activities; working with the Fundraising Committee to ensure adequate financial stability.

Ethics Committee

The Association is committed to transparency in its operations, grantmaking, and programmatic activities. Develops and applies guidelines for ensuring ethical behavior and resolving ethical conflicts that may arise.

Archival Committee

Oversees development and implementation of the Heritage Archive Initiative; identifies and acquires archival material in need for preservation; reviews major grant opportunities for archival support; working with the Fundraising Committee to ensure adequate financial stability for archival activities.

Fundraising Committee

Oversees development and implementation of fundraising plan; identifies and solicits funds from external sources of support.

Newsletter Committee

Oversees development and publication of the Assyrian Studies Association newsletter that comes out quarterly.

Oversees development of publishing materials; identifies sources in need for preservation for publishing; working with the Programming Committee and Fundraising Committee to ensure adequate financial stability.
