The Assyrian Studies Association promotes interest in and scholarly study of Assyrians and Assyria. It provides means for the publication of scholarly research and other materials designed to promote Assyrian studies. It promotes cooperative activities and exchange of information within the field and facilitates contact between scholars and scholarly organizations.

Grants

ACADEMIC PUBLICATIONS

Grants up to $2000 are available to authors in various disciplines working on books directly related to Assyrian and Assyrian studies, on all period and regions.

Application deadline is June 1, 2020.

CHILDREN'S AND POPULAR BOOKS

Grants up to $2000. Eligible applicants are educators producing children's books in Assyrian or on Assyrian and the heritage and culture. 

Application deadline is September 1, 2020.

ASSYRIAN CULTURE RESEARCH

To stimulate new understandings of Assyrian culture, this grant supports academics and professionals researching understudies areas of Assyrian culture (e.g. music, cuisine, folkloric dance, poetry, family genealogies, etc.).

Application deadline is June 1, 2020.
